By using Trace the Roots ("the site", "we") you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site.
Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. You're responsible for activity on your account. Keep your sign-in method secure.
Your contributions
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, rank and share it on the site and in public data exports. Only post what you have the right to share. You agree to follow the community rules.
Moderation
We may label, rank, hide or remove content, and suspend or close accounts, to enforce these terms and the community rules or to comply with the law.
Supporter memberships
- Payments are voluntary contributions to support the site. They aren't purchases of goods and aren't tax-deductible.
- A membership is prepaid for one month or one year and does not renew automatically. We email a reminder 14 days before it expires.
- We may suspend or end any membership, badge or Sponsors wall listing for a violation of these terms or the community rules, with no refund.
- We may end a membership for any other reason and refund the dollar value of the unused months in USD Coin (USDC).
- Crypto payments are final. We can't recover coins sent to the wrong address or network.
- Your contributions and reputation stay on the site if a membership ends.
- Memberships never change ranking or vote weight.
No warranty
The site and its content are provided "as is". History is contested and the timeline may contain errors. Check primary sources before relying on anything here.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post the new date here and notify account holders of significant changes.
